About Mrs. LaBoissiere (pronounced La-Bahs-ee-air)
My name is Nikki LaBoissiere and I am very excited to start this school year! I look forward to meeting and learning all about my students, but thought you would like to know a few things about me. Most of my time is spent with my family, but when I get the opportunity, you may find me reading a fabulous book, cooking, running a 5k, shopping, or capturing moments on camera - I love photography. I also have a love for learning - which has brought me here.
I received my degree in Childhood Education from the College of St. Rose and have recently completed my Master's in Reading and Literacy through Walden University. The 2018-19 school year will mark my 10th year working with the district and my fourth year teaching Sixth Grade! I have also worked as a teacher's assistant and long-term substitute at WHS. I was the Class Adviser for our recent 2016 high school graduates and served as Yearbook adviser for three years at WHS. I am anxious to get started on my third year overseeing the WES yearbook. I love our community and I am thrilled to be part of the sixth grade team!
It is so important to keep communication open between us. Please contact me at any time with your concerns or to schedule a meeting. You can reach me through email, by phone message- I will return calls at my earliest convenience, or we can communicate through your child's agenda, I will be checking agendas daily. I will also begin using REMIND, to text notifications and important events.
I look forward to our very busy, productive and challenging year!
